How to use Fintro Budget

Three simple steps — takes about 5 minutes to get your full picture.

1
📥 Add your transactions

Go to the Inputs tab and upload a CSV from your bank — TD, RBC, BMO, Scotiabank, CIBC, Tangerine, Simplii, and Wealthsimple are all supported. Or add transactions manually.

Entries tagged auto were guessed by category — click the dropdown to correct any that are wrong.

2
🎯 Set monthly targets

Go to the Budget tab and type a target amount next to each spending category. Green means under budget, red means over. Your actuals are pulled automatically from your transactions.

3
📊 Explore your dashboard

Go to the Dashboard tab to see charts, trends, and insights. Filter by month using the chips at the top. The insights section flags patterns — like high eating-out spend or a strong savings rate.

💡 Tip: Sign in to save your data permanently across devices. Without an account, data is stored locally in your browser only.
